POSITION SUMMARY

Our Line Cooks are an integral part of our Kitchen Staff. Working alongside our Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef to provide the finest in cuisine for our members and their guests while working to meet or exceed the standards that we strive to deliver at The Pulpit Club.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a clean, healthy, safe and efficient work environment
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
• Ensure all food stations and fridges are neat and sufficiently stocked
• Cook all vegetables, potatoes and rice dishes
• Assist in cooking a daily soup and pasta of the day
• Clean and sanitize work areas frequently
• Assist in preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist
• Follow tasks on the weekly board, and any other tasks assigned
• Assist restock stations with plates, bowls, pans and other wares as needed
• Collect all products from receiving
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Be fully flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• High school education preferred
• Quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, problem solve, work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly
• Previous experience or educational background in cooking needed
