PLAYER ASSISTANTS

POSITION SUMMARY

Player Assistants (Starters/Marshall’s) are an integral part of our on-course operation and are responsible for starting, monitoring play, player safety, and ensuring that pace of play expectation is met. Highly visible, the Play Coordinator/Marshall will interface directly with members and their guests and assist the Golf Operations team in delivering a customer service experience that is second to none.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patrol assigned area of the course on a regular basis
• Ensure the pace of play is maintained
• Respond to golfers’ questions and/or concerns
• Assist Outside Services Team with daily opening and closing procedures
• Ensure that Golfers are playing/driving in designated areas
• Help prepare for Events
• Report and damage/issues on the course
• Ensure that all Coolers and Scorecard Boxes are checked daily
• Ensure the safety of our members and guests
• Report any infractions of Club policy
• Be a good will ambassador for the Club

QUALIFICATIONS

• Customer service oriented and forward thinking
• Team player who relies on others and can be relied upon
• Must possess a valid G2 or G drivers licence
• Be fully flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Completion of grade 11 or higher preferred
• Quality interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, problem solve, work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Be able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly
